Critters

Morenita has made herself quite at home since she was adopted… she’s taken over from Vale as top dog.

Here she’s demanding admittance trough the front door!

Lounging on the back deck…

George lounging on the other side…

Recently there was an article about Mike Murphy and his hill country birdwatching ranch. One bird he said he seldom sees is the painted bunting… well I have them here! While they are pretty shy birds, I regularly see both males and females at the feeder. I managed to get a photograph this morning from behind my home made blind.

The painted bunting on the feeder, they are very colourful birds! When I first spotted them I thought they might be some of the wild parrots the Town Lake is famous for.

My temporary bird blind.. several camo zelts buttoned together.

Got another shot of this little guy showing off on the fence Saturday in the sunny warmth. Today it’s rainy, cold, very windy not a day for showing off outside at all.

Almost feels like spring has come to the hill country of Texas. Saturday was muggy and warm, Sunday was muggy windy and cloudy. Threatening rain all day. Ricardo came out for a bask in the sun on a tree branch.
